Sydney International Boat Show

Thursday 3rd August – Sunday 6th August 2023 Darling Harbour.

This year we will have the impressive Bali 4.6 on display, we will be situated just under the Pyrmont Bridge on the Marina – look for the pink Flags!

As an extra bonus and right next door to our Bali 4.6, the NEW Catana 50 Ocean Class, will be on display, being the first Catana at a Boat Show in Australia for quite some time. It’s your opportunity to tour both the Performance Cat of Catana and the Bali Lifestyle Brand Catamaran built by Catana Group.

Make an appointment to tour the Bali 4.6 at Sydney Boat Show and contact us for access to the Catana 50 Ocean Class.

The use of the latest industrial technologies such as carbon infusion, the use of the latest generation of foams, and the know-how of Catana’s R&D teams have enabled us to significantly reduce the weight of the boat in order to increase its payload capacity and it’s volume of life while maintaining it’s performance.

BALI CATAMARANS

In 2015, we introduced the Bali Catamaran to Australia, causing a few ruffled feathers with the new design – no trampoline, a full-sized fridge, and the tilting door! The Bali was a new contender in the Catamaran market, and questions were asked, what was it, where was it built, and who is this young upstart changing the rules?

The Bali Catamaran – designed and built by the well-respected French manufacturer Catana and in partnership with Dream Yacht Charter – is becoming well known as the “it Boat”, the favoured boat for Charter and Private Owners alike to enjoy a laid-back lifestyle on the water.
The Bali is innovative with chic, stylish clutter-free contemporary interiors, utilising space in an intelligent, creative ever-evolving design that is always one step ahead and responsive to the needs of the cruising yachtsman.

DO YOU DREAM OF OWNING YOUR OWN BOAT?

Have you considered a Yachtshare option? Yachtshare is a great solution!

Dream Yacht Sales now offers Yachtshare/ Fractional Ownership Program, and we have the impressive NEW Bali Catsmart available. It’s a practical solution to owning your own boat without the hassle of owning a boat, the vessel will not be in Charter but Owner time will be shared between the Owner’s. Maintenance and cleaning will be done by Dream Yacht and all you have to do is jump on board and enjoy your time!

The latest model in the Bali Catamaran range is the Catsmart 38 ft Twin Helm

The BALI CATSMART benefits from all the innovations designed by Catana Group which are the DNA of the BALI: the rigid forward cockpit with lounge area and sunbathing areas, the platform connecting the transoms with large bench seats and lockers, the two very comfortable helm stations which centralize all manoeuvres, the simple and very practical davit system, without forgetting the large tilt-and-tilt BALI door and the sliding side windows which, once opened, offer a galley / living room / cockpit area that is unprecedented on a catamaran of this size.

BALI CATSMART

Multihulls World, Emmanuel Van Deth
Multihulls World has always worked hard to help ensure that multihull builders don’t abandon the market for boats under 40 feet. So it is with great pleasure that we share this world exclusive with you: we sailed aboard the Bali Catsmart! The world’s number three (or are they now the 2nd?) builder is again adding to its range… but this time from below, with the launch of a new 38-foot model. This little sistership for the Bali Catspace features some new innovations, such as twin helm stations, an optimized sail area with the mainsail almost flush with the coachroof – since there’s no flybridge. On the other hand, you still get the rigid foredeck and the tilting Bali door. As for the interior, it’s no longer just all-charter: the builder is offering the traditional four- and three-cabin versions, but notably, there’s an amazing version with just two owner’s cabins. The Bali Catsmart demonstrates (finally!) the interest of compact multihulls, that are less expensive and easier to maintain than much larger models.

Bali Catamarans Boris Compagnon Catana Group Sales and Marketing Director
“We also wanted this boat to be good performance,” Compagnon said. “We hear a lot since the beginning…that Bali is a charter boat and Bali is not a sailing boat. Those of you who have tried the boats with us know that the boats move well, they’re not slower than any of the boats in that category.”

Compagnon noted that pre-Covid, 65-70% of Balis were in charter and the remainder in private ownership, but that has changed, so that today it’s about 50-50. The new Catsmart, he said, will continue that trend as it fills a demand for a more affordable, easily handled entry-level catamaran.

DREAM YACHT WORLDWIDE

Electric catamarans – changing the way we experience boating holidays.

We’re excited to announce the arrival of the first electric catamaran to the Dream Yacht Worldwide Italy fleet – the Fountaine Pajot Aura 51 Smart Electric. Dream Yacht’s pioneering spirit is highlighted with this exciting new addition to the fleet – and is only the first step in an on-going mission of creating more sustainable sea-based holidays.

Dream Yacht and Fountaine Pajot are aligned in their commitment to sustainability and reducing ecological impact and Dream Yacht Worldwide is proud to support continuing advancements through its ongoing and significant fleet investments in electric yachts.

More than 22 electric yachts will join the Dream Yacht fleet by spring of 2024. Of these, 10 will be sailing catamarans and 12 will be sailing yachts from Dufour, a part of the Fountaine Pajot Group.

Dream Yacht has always been known as a pioneer in the yacht charter industry and with this bold move toward decarbonizing its fleet, they have become the first global brand to launch electric yachts at scale for worldwide yacht charter holidays offerings. Together with Foutaine Pajot, they are establishing a new standard and paving the way for others in the industry to follow – thus making a significant global impact toward more sustainable yachting.

Optimised for onboard ease, comfort & efficiency

A key difference in the electric boating experience includes cruising under power in silence, allowing owners and charter travellers alike to more fully enjoy their surrounding natural environments. The powerful, highly efficient and quiet electric motors are custom designed for the Aura 51, and two lithium technology battery banks are used for energy storage. When under sail, the speed of the boat along with the motors in reverse flow is used to produce clean, stored energy. This hydroelectric energy generation can fully recharge the batteries in 48 hours. In turn, the charged battery banks can provide power for hours of motor cruising, or as much as a week at anchor without any emissions.

The onboard experience is further optimized through custom “smart cruising” electronics that manage all of the yacht’s energy flows. The easy-to-operate interactive tool allows the user to manage the boat’s energy resources with an intuitive touch screen, allowing optimization and balance of renewable energy options between propulsion and onboard living needs. This includes the use of solar panels positioned on the boat’s coach roof that can provide enough electricity to support the daily needs of life onboard.

In the coming years, Dream Yacht Worldwide plans to continue in its support of the research and development of more advanced electric models, and more are already in development by Fountaine Pajot. The arrival of the Aura 51 Smart Electric, along with the growing electric charter fleet for Dream Yacht Worldwide marks an ongoing commitment and joint ambition of achieving an all-electric yacht offering and zero carbon emissions by 2030.

Experience the smart electric difference for yourself. The Aura 51 Smart Electric is available for Dream Yacht charters in Italy beginning April 2023.

The Boat Shows are the perfect launchpad for us to showcase our stunning Dream Yacht Charter international sailing destinations, now over 50 + for Bareboat, Skippered and By the Cabin Charter and with more choices of yacht brands, ownership programs and locations, it’s even easier for our clients to own the boat of their dreams in a shorter space of time, and to enjoy the benefits of sailing their way through a bucket list of dream destinations.
