Things To Do In Whitsundays With Kids

Spend all day in your bathers, swimming, snorkeling and paddle-boarding or just lounging around on the sun deck – do a bit of yoga or just read a book or play a board game – this is the perfect opportunity to unplug from technology, and take the time to enjoy each other’s company again. We provide snorkeling gear on all of our boats and you can add a paddleboard or Kayak to your Charter if you want a few more toys to play with.

All of our boats come with their own Dinghy and outboard motor, to explore all of the little bays and beaches which are perfect for pirate adventures and turtle spotting. On land, there are nature walks, with stunning views of the Islands.

Wake up every morning with a beautiful sunrise and a swim and close the day with sunset on the deck then prepare for the amazing light show at night, because most of the islands in the Whitsundays are uninhabited there are no city lights to dim the view of millions of sparkling stars – there is nothing like lying on the deck and just observing the wonder of it.

Bareboat Catering & Provisioning

With a BBQ on board, meals are easy. Eat what you want when you want, get the kids involved in preparing the meals and planning your itinerary. Whitsunday Marine Life

On your yacht charter holiday, you truly get back to nature, with an abundance of wildlife to meet, Whales and their babies, Dolphins, Turtles, Stingrays an opulent array of tropical fish to swim with and lavish birdlife soaring past. My favourites are the turtles paddling along calmly minding their own business and popping up their heads to say hello, they are really just taking a breath, but I like to think they are being neighbourly. It’s absolutely delightful to be so close to these amazing creatures in their own habitat and to see the kids so excited by it. In Nara Inlet, there is a very friendly cockatoo who loves to drop by and check out the visitors especially at lunch time. In many of the other bays it is not uncommon to be visited by a pod of dolphins. You can hear them snuffling and splashing and generally enjoying themselves tremendously as they fish at night.

We have Monohulls, Catamarans and Power Cats to choose from in all budgets, see our Fleet and choose your boat. You can decide to do as much or as little as you want. If you want a Charter where you just spend the whole time playing with your kids and having adventures together we can provide a Sail Guide and a Hostess to cook. You don’t need a license in the Whitsundays; however, you do need to know your way around a boat. We also offer a half day sail guide if you feel you need a little more instruction.

How To Get To The Whitsundays

The Whitsundays is easy to get to. You can either fly into Proserpine and we can arrange an airport Shuttle to Coral Sea Marina Resort where we are based. Or you can fly into Hamilton Island and have your boat delivered to meet you, you can return your boat to Hamilton Island or Airlie Beach. We offer a sleep-aboard the night before in the Marina to get you settled in on your boat, the kids can choose their cabins; you can do your shopping or order in from Whitsunday Provisioning. A sleep-aboard eases you into your holiday to be ready the next morning for your comprehensive briefing and to set off on your Charter.
