Home » Is a Guided Charter Right for You?
test

If you love beautiful places and adventures on the water, the Whitsundays are calling your name. A Whitsunday yacht charter is the very best way to experience this stunning region, and guests from across the world join us every year to set sail on our charters.

Do you wish to sail the breathtaking waters of the Whitsunday Islands, but lack the sailing experience? This is not a problem. Though we offer bareboat charters, in which you skipper your own vessel, we also provide the option of a fully guided charter. For a variety of reasons, this might be the ideal holiday choice for you. Considering a guided charter in the Whitsundays? Read on to discover why this might suit your needs perfectly.

You Don’t Feel Confident in Your Boating Skills

You do not need to be an expert sailor to charter a vessel with us. In fact, no boating license is even required for a bareboat yacht charter. However, some sailing experience is necessary and helpful for a safe, successful holiday.

If you don’t have any boating experience whatsoever, a guided charter can be your answer. Or maybe you have some experience, but don’t really feel securely confident in your skills. In this situation, you have two options. For every charter, we provide an induction which can help you become comfortable with the vessel and refresh any rusty skills. This can be enough for a skipper with some previous experience. Should you choose to skipper your own yacht, we also provide regular support and connection via radio. You’re never fully alone out on the water.

Your other option is the guided charter, in which we supply a full time sail guide and crew to man your vessel. This is a great solution and lots of fun! You need not worry about winds, routes, mooring, or boat maintenance on your guided Whitsunday charter. Instead, you can devote your time to simply relaxing and letting the boat’s crew take you to all the best destinations in the islands.

You’re Seeking an Extra Bit of Luxury

Even if you are capable of skippering a bareboat charter, you may want to put those skills aside during your holiday. For some guests, complete and total relaxation is a holiday MUST. In this case, a guided charter can take away any responsibility you have, leaving you free to focus on building your tan, snorkelling amongst the tropical reefs, and sipping on delicious cocktails. This is the epitome of a luxury sailing trip. In fact, you can even hire an onboard hostess to serve your meals to you and your travelling companions. With absolutely no worries or concerns, you can feel as pampered as a king or queen.

You Want the Local Expertise

Yet another reason you may opt for a guided charter is to take extra advantage of the inside knowledge a local guide can offer. Though we share our suggested itineraries and best moorings with all of our Queensland Yacht Charter guests, sailing with a guided charter could provide an added bonus. Your full time sail guide might have favourite spots or know just where the fish will be biting that day. This expert knowledge can’t be denied, and for those looking for an extra special local experience, a guided charter might be just the ticket.

So what will it be? Monohull, catamaran, power boat? Self-skippered or guided cruise? How ever you choose to sail with us, we know you’ll delight in your Whitsundays holiday. Get in touch to discuss our options for guided charter or to learn more about bareboat vessels for your upcoming getaway.

Are you ready to charter a boat? No licence required.

No licence is required for a Yacht Charter in the Whitsundays, unlike other locations worldwide. We offer a brief training session before you head out, for either sailing or powered yachts.
