test
2018 marks the 30th anniversary of the Sanctuary Cove International Boat Show, and it’s fair to say Queensland Yacht Charters is looking forward to attending. We exhibit every year, along with some of the biggest names in the industry. In fact, over the past 30 years the Sanctuary Cove International Boat Show (SCIBS) has hosted more than 10,000 exhibitors and welcomed more than 1.3million visitors through the gates, so you can see why it is considered the southern hemisphere’s premier marine event. Running over four days, from May 24 to May 27, 2018, let’s take a closer look and find out what’s new for 2018.

The Latest In Marine Innovation

The Sanctuary Cove International Boat Show is renown for showcasing the latest marine products and innovations from around the globe. In addition, the event appeals to a broad range of people and caters to both men and women.
“It’s an open market for people who are looking for a large luxury cruiser or some fishing gear for their tinny.”  – Bill Barry-Cotter (Founder of Maritimo)
For example, there are plenty of trailerable boats on display,  as well as a selection of leisure products, food, family entertainment and boutique shopping on offer. The SCIBS showcases the best of the boating lifestyle, and with 80% of exhibitors returning year on year, it’s easy to see why this event is a highlight of the Australian boating calendar.

Marine Business Does Business

In addition to the 40,000+ visitors the SCIBS attracts each year, the event is also an important meeting place for international contingents, providing the perfect opportunity for businesses to obtain exposure and access influential buyers in the marine industry. There are some exciting additions to the show this year designed to encourage marine businesses to mingle and assist them in showcasing their products to the maximum number of people. Some of these include:
  • Trade Breakfast (providing networking opportunities for industry professionals)
  • Trade Registration and ticketing options
  • Expanded exhibition spaces, with new Pavilion Pod options available in the Pavilions
See the full list and register for these events here. Tickets for the show can be pre-purchased here for a reduced rate or full price at the gate.
