The Airlie Beach Festival of Music is one of Queensland’s most highly anticipated musical events. Now in its seventh year, it has become of the country’s most popular boutique music festivals, attracting thousands of people from different corners of Australia and beyond. Getting To Airlie Beach
Fly into Whitsunday Coast Airport in Proserpine, which is a 45-minute drive from Airlie Beach, or into Hamilton airport and take a Cruise Whitsunday ferry to Port of Airlie on the mainland. Alternatively, you can drive from anywhere in the country via the Bruce Highway, or you can catch a train or bus, or board a yacht and sail your way into one of the region’s two gorgeous marinas!
Things To Do In Airlie Beach
Beyond the music festival, there are many other things to enjoy in Airlie Beach. After all, it wouldn’t be called a premier tourist destination for nothing. For example, if you’ve already seen the Great Barrier Reef underwater, why not see it from above? Take an Air Whitsunday tour and see one of the world’s greatest and most fascinating natural wonders aboard a helicopter or a seaplane. Alternatively, if you would rather just sit back and take things slow, you can drop a line a line along the bay, in the marina, or at one of the many beaches along the coast.
